DIYSEO Product Update: Social Links is here…finally!
Posted April 14, 2011 by Dan Olson (5 comments)
I’m very excited to announce the new Social Links tool in our Ongoing SEO section of DIYSEO. In Social Links, our clients will be shown backlink opportunities based on their targeted keywords and where those keywords appear in blogs, forums and other areas of the web that house user generated content. This has been long in coming as we’ve taken on the difficult task of combing through mountains of social data and attempting to turn it into relevant actionable tasks for our clients. Specifically, it will allow clients to engage and provide relevant comments and insights around particular topics and insert a link back to their site when appropriate. Social Links is officially in Beta and really hoping to get as much feedback from our clients as possible.

Related to the Social Links Beta release, we have also reworked the user interface for our Competitor Links area. This new folder system will allow clients to better organize recommended tasks and allow them to either complete, tag them to be done later, or tag them as irrelevant and to be removed from consideration. Let us know your thoughts here as well!

We have been happy with our first month with DIYSEO and have been looking forward to the Social links……question: When i open the task tab, it requests that I post a relevant answer on Yahoo! Answers. 10 times for the same keywords. Is this correct? are there other sites to also work on? are there other key words? and 10 times? is that correct?
Thanks.

Ok, I have now answered so many questions on Yahoo Answers I feel like Dear Abby!!! Are there any other Social sites that I can work on?

Hi Ron, thanks for your questions! We’re glad that you’ve actively been using the new social links section.
You are receiving a large number of Yahoo Answers link opportunities because Yahoo is prioritized as a higher valued link versus another source. We will be continuing to add more high quality forums to the list of social links in the near future.
In addition, if you check off the social tasks as completed and refresh the page, new social link opportunities should pop up for you.
